The mission of AMO environnement, proposed by the SAARG, concerns the western extension and the restructuring of the passenger terminal of Roland Garros airport and more precisely :
- Airside infrastructure : creation of parking positions for type F and C aircraft in contact with the terminal, service road, ;
- Infrastructures "on the city side" (public spaces) that are heavily vegetated (modulation of the thermal impact of car parks and lanes, user "experience" discussed in the rest of the document,):
- Redevelopment of the lanes and access to the different entities of the terminal and its exterior spaces,
- Creation of a tree-lined esplanade as close as possible to the terminal (role of public hall, participation in the thermal comfort of the terminal, ...),
- Restructuring and extension of the minute drop-off shelves (private individuals, taxis, buses, priority vehicles, etc.) for a total capacity of around 80 places, refurbishment and extension of car parks (passengers, accompanying persons, hire companies, employees, companies, service providers, etc.) for a total capacity of approximately
- 1,500 spaces excluding car parks located to the east (ARRG and long-term parking),
- Redevelopment and extension of bus parkings (public transport, tourist buses, shuttle bus, ...),
- Development of public transport lanes in exclusive right-of-way (future airport service centre, regional guided transport network, etc.),
- Development of delivery areas (shops, ...),
- Development of soft mode connections (pedestrian mail between the various car parks (long term parking, rental car parks, staff, ...), connection with the regional cycle route, ..,
- Landscaping,
The SAARG wants this airport extension to be designed with a bioclimatic approach and based on the ADEME's PREBAT reference system as a methodological tool. Thus, SAARG sets through the programme the architectural, functional, technical and economic rules of the game, which will influence the design of the project by the project management team. By relying on our expertise, SAARG will set the bases of environmental quality and their weight in this project.
